About Me
I was born in Brazil, lived in Israel and am now a citizen of the U.S. Living in different countries and being exposed to different cultures has enriched both as a person and as an artist. These influences are reflected in my layered, textured work. Each layer creates a "history", a memory and builds on what came before it. As a person and as an artist I am able to absorb different points of view , perspectives and visions. It all melds into my work, the variety of shapes, the attention to color and values, as well as the importance attached to an interesting composition. I am happy with a painting when I feel it contains the rich layering of my life.
I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, lived in Israel and now make my home in the United States. Having lived in different countries and experienced a variety of cultures has broadened my perspective and enriched me both as a person and as an artist. I constantly search for new mediums to express different aspects of my cultural background.
‘Put yourself into your art …
… they said. ‘And people will connect with it.’ So this flawed, messy, sensitive, complicated, detailed, structured, over-delivering mix of blues and greys with the occasional pops of hot colour is kinda who I am.
If you love age-worn surfaces, wild seas, blousy blue hydrangeas, windswept beaches, old jeans, cobbled streets, faded velvet, moments of synchronicity, and finding meaning and connection in everyday things … well … we’re probably going to hit it off!

Soulful abstract artwork.
I’m drawn to the patina of age – to imperfect beauty – to textures and details in urban and coastal environments. For me, they echo the many layers of emotions and experiences that we hold within us and which make us who we are.
